Brazilian fed cattle continue their high prices due to strong demand from exports (China), as well as tight supplies. Average year-over-year prices in January were up +16% over 2019, but noting a monthly decline from December of -$0.63 per lb, or -8.3%. With such a large shortage of pork in the world, substitutes like beef are seeing strong demand to try and fill the protein shortage.
